Providing struggling young people with a helping hand in life was the driving ambition of four young people who early last month completed the Kokoda Track Challenge on the Gold Coast, with support from Ray White Rural.
Ray White Live Online Auction’s Bianca Burke, led the team made up of Jack and Harry Sinclair and Jae Phillips, through the 96km hike. In just 28 hours, the team covered Springbrook, Syd Duncan Park and Nerang National Park.
“The course is considered the hardest team challenge in Australia, so we are very happy with the result,” Bianca said.
Ray White Rural threw their support behind the small team, donating $2500 which went towards assisting the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program – a 14 month early intervention program that arms young people with the skills and training to overcome life’s challenges.
“Now that we’ve finished the challenge, we’ve been invited to go to Papua New Guinea to walk and experience the real thing – the Kokoda Trail,” Bianca said.
